HARTFORD 鈥 On Monday, 20-year-old Waukesha resident Anar Wenc was in Washington County Circuit Court for three Class C felony charges for 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, with one of the charges stemming from an alleged incident between Wenc and the victim, a Hartford Union High School (HUHS) freshman, in the Central Middle School (CMS) parking lot.
On Wednesday, CMS released the following statement: "The Hartford Jt. 1 School District is aware of an ongoing investigation of sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the Central Middle School parking lot outside of school hours.
鈥淭he district is fully cooperating with the Hartford Police Department as law enforcement officers conduct their investigation. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and our obligation to maintain student confidentiality, we cannot share further details beyond indicating that this situation did not involve any of our current students or staff.
鈥淥ur focus at this time is on our students and ensuring their safety and well-being.鈥
Wenc has been charged with the three felonies for allegedly having intercourse with the HUHS student three times, twice at her mother鈥檚 residence in Slinger and once in the CMS parking lot, according to the criminal complaint.
The three Class C felonies carry with them a punishment of up to 120 years鈥 imprisonment, $300,000 in fines or both, if Wenc is convicted.
According to court documents, Wenc will next appear in Branch 4 of the Washington County Circuit Court at 2:45 p.m. on May 28.
