WAUKESHA — It was a wild one at Sullivan Fields on Wednesday night when Catholic Memorial baseball hosted conference foe Muskego. The score finished a whooping 24-11, with Muskego pouring it on in the seventh inning with 13 runs.
The Warriors jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the third inning, but the Crusaders clawed their way back to make it 11-8 by the end of the sixth.
Warriors’ freshman Maddux Lessard had a huge day at the plate, going 4-for-7 with two home runs, a double and five RBIs.
Senior Ryan Kopecky matched his compatriots five RBI night, going 3for-4 with a double. Seniors Brock Lulewicz and Bradyn Horn, and junior Aidyn Mueller all added home runs of their own.
Sophomore Ian Kawczynski had a big day at the plate for the Crusaders, going 3-for-5 with a homerun and a double. Senior James Casey also had three hits for the Crusaders. Senior Chase Langman went 1-for-4, but provided three RBIs for the Crusaders. Senior Armani Camus and Junior Ashton Haney each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Muskego remains undefeated in the Classic 8, improving their record to 7-0 and 12-1 overall.
CMH falls to 2-4 in the Classic 8, and 5-7 overall.
