Kathleen A. ‘Kathy’ Scrima
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Kathleen A.”Kathy” Scrima of Waukesha, WI. Kathy died peacefully at the age of 81 on April 23, 2024, with family by her side.
Kathy was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Bob; her son, Brian; and her parents, Harry and Helen (nee Frank) Hepting.
Loving mother of Jeff (Kari Cerny) Scrima and Debbie (Nick) Pfeffer. Proud grandma of Taylor, Adriana, Louie and Jimmy. Dear sister of Joan (Del) Fischer. Kathy will be remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kathy graduated from Mercy High School in Milwaukee in 1960. She worked at Briggs and Stratton before marrying her late husband, Bob, in 1972. Kathy was a homemaker and remarkable cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and baking cookies during the holidays. Kathy retired in The Villages, Florida, where she enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, playing cards, traveling and reading. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.
A special thank you to the staff at Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa for their amazing care and compassion they gave Kathy in her final weeks.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to follow when available. Private entombment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha.
Memorials in Kathy’s name are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
