CEDARBURG — Wilo USA’s manufacturing headquarters in Cedarburg tries to promote health with its employees through its health wing, which includes a clinic and gym.

"Our biggest asset is our employees," said Wilo USA CEO Jeff Plaster. "Giving them the access to free onsite health care and workout facility with trainers is just one of the ways we not only invest in our employees, but our company."

Wilo is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and pump systems for building services, water management and groundwater applications. The company became the anchor tenant of the city of Cedarburg’s Highway 60 business park in 2020.

The opening date for the clinic and gym was April of 2022.

The health clinic is staffed by three health care professionals from Froedtert Hospital. Employees and their dependents have free access to healthcare services, including preventive care, early disease detection and personalized healthy lifestyle recommendations, according to a Wilo blog about the health wing.

"By offering these essential services onsite, Wilo USA not only promotes a culture of wellness but also ensures convenient access to healthcare for its workforce," according to the blog.

The onsite gym is staffed by four professional trainers from Anytime Fitness and provides employees with the resources to stay fit and active. The gym offers free group training sessions, fitness consultations and personalized coaching.

Both the clinic and the gym collaborate closely to help employees achieve their health objectives.

In addition, the company hosts an annual Health Fair and Dental Fair attended by local and nationwide health and wellness companies. These events offer employees opportunities to engage with healthcare professionals, learn about healthy habits and access resources all within the workplace.
